Invalidation APIs README
10g Release 2 (10.1.2)
2005
OracleAS Web Cache ships with Application Program Interfaces (APIs) to enable you to better customize applications for OracleAS Web Cache invalidation features. The $ORACLE_HOME/webcache/toolkit
directory on UNIX and ORACLE_HOME
\webcache\toolkit
directory on Windows contains the following APIs and Document Type Definition (DTD) files for invalidation with OracleAS Web Cache:
jawc.jar
for a Java invalidation API
wxvutil.sql
and wxvappl.sql
for a PL/SQL invalidation API
To use these APIs, launch SQL*Plus to load the packages into the database and invoke the appropriate procedures. For further information, read the detailed comments at the beginning of the source files.
invalidation.dtd
This file contains the DTD for invalidation requests and responses for the format compatible with release 1.0. Oracle recommends using WCSinvalidation.dtd
, as it replaces invalidation.dtd
and provides support for all of the syntax in this release.

Our goal is to make Oracle products, services, and supporting documentation accessible, with good usability, to the disabled community. To that end, our documentation includes features that make information available to users of assistive technology. This documentation is available in HTML format, and contains markup to facilitate access by the disabled community. Standards will continue to evolve over time, and Oracle is actively engaged with other market-leading technology vendors to address technical obstacles so that our documentation can be accessible to all of our customers.
